In the Portland peninsula, first-rate micro-brewery and nano-brewery are very near each other in Portland’s "yEast Bayside" neighborhood. A third, larger brewery is in the Old Port, close to the ferry terminal. In the Riverside outskirts is another micro and two larger breweries.

Two distilleries are near the "yEast Bayside" breweries. Another is just up the hill, and a fourth is over the hill in the Old Port.
